Club Marbella
I travelled with my wife and 3 young daughters. The weather was fantastic and is generally guaranteed sun all year. We did not have high expectations for the resort and due to there being 5 diff sub resorts and a confusing description of how to reach the resort reception we had some trepidation to what we would find. We were surprised that the staff were very helpful and the apartment a very good size ( be careful with the duplex apartment if you have a young child as the stairs are next to the front door and quite steep ). The resort is not more than a 3 star ( quite old fashioned outlook) although having satellite TV , the internet room and indoor pool/gym and other sports facilities was something to consider as bonus. The outside pool ( club Marbella ) is quite underwhelming and soon gets very crowded - we used the indoor pool on more occasions. We never tried the onsite restaurants but they looked very British friendly - if thats a consideration. Infact the resort and nearby shops/restaurants are quite targeted to the UK taste. Overall I would recommend Crown Resorts for a well priced family destination.
You need a car to get to the beach and any local towns. Arrange to have a quieter room if you have young children - there are quieter areas in Club Marbella which is easily the best resort of the 5 for families.

Nice Hotel
I would definitely recommend this hotel for a getaway trip...but there is certainly not very much to do around this area. If you are looking for hot-spots I would go closer towards Marbella.

Excellent for a 2 star property
Had a great time, accomodation was larger than we expected and very clean. Maintenance man was very helpful and very prompt (better than you would get here in Britain. Would love to go back sometime.
Traveller's tip on local attractions
If booking a local trip be sure to be very prompt for pick-up as they will not wait for you.... we were actually just on time but just got to see the back end of the bus as it left. We had to go another day - was very annoying. I dont expect them to wait if you are late but we were on time. Watch out for time-share scammers.
