Great, we will be back
Been to jardin dorado 4 times and find it ideal for a quiet retreat but still close to Maspalomas and Playa Del Ingles. Garden around each bugalow make a great setting for breakfast as the sun rises.

More than satisfactory
Hard to find, especially in the dark, and being on the edge of a golf course, it’s very dark at night. Quiet too. Nicely laid out site with good main pool and shallower pools, moderate standard restaurant and reasonable shop. Staff are pleasant and helpful and reception is multilingual; the second language for whole resort is German not English. Hotel internet machines are 1 euro for 16 minutes but if you take your own laptop there is no charge for wi-fi. Bungalow accommodation is clean and adequate but could do with modernising - a bigger hot water tank for a start, but there was a hair dryer. Extras payable for safe in room (1 euro a day), and for satellite tv and microwave. We went in January and it was chilly at night and there is NO heating (although they gave us extra blankets). Kitchen equipment is barely adequate -no chopping/bread board and no wine glasses. We ate breakfast and some lunches in. Meals out for us were dear because of the fall in the pound against the euro. Local public transport is good and lots of taxis but having a car makes shopping/eating out (didn’t drink) a lot better,and a car is more or less essential for sightseeing around the island.

Not for Everyone
This accommodation is situated in the Campo Golf Area and is a good 45Mins to 1Hr walk to Maspalomas Lighthouse and Beach. There are no bars or restuarants in the immediate vicinity either so it is a taxi ride to the nightlife. The bungalows are fairly basic and the bathrooms could do with a refurb, ours had large rust marks in the bath and sink. There is also no kettle in the kitchenette. The pool area is quite nice but overall the property is tired. Our stay was ok for what we needed (Cheap weekend) but I would not go back.
