great in October
Air-conditioned rooms, pleasant staff and great location - 50yds from (steps to) the beach Great cafe/resaurant. perhaps not the place to go in high season summer as beach quite small and surrounded by large accomodation blocks - cosy at high tide I imagine!

Highly recommented!
We were looking for this year,a nice hotel close to the beach without any extra ’luxury’ services that we wouldn’t really need.So we booked at the Carvi Hotel,half board sea view room.Although after i read some bad reviews,which really frustrated me about what i’ll see there.Luckyly the hotel was far from those reviews.To be honest we were imprest.The hotel is newly renovated,the room VERY clean,the staff very helpfull and the beach 50m. away,what else you need?If you book double room sea view half board,you have expect a basic room, breakfast with pastries,juices etc and dinner in an option of 2 restaurants,’triagulo’ good food bad service,’sao gonzalo’ you every day the same menu and the service is better.If dinne out be carefull,you might charged for thinks you did’t order as the waiters pretent they don’t unterstant english.For the next year i believe this hotel will be even better,with real value for money.

it was ok
the hotel was ok. we staye there for 3 nights and not once did housekeeping come. also when we went down to the bar to ask for some ice, to have in our room with our drinks - the barman said no he does not have enough, i mean its a bar and there was nobody in the bar the hole night! the tv in the room was obstructed and really small and the pillows were terrible (only one and as flat as anything). the breakfast was nice - but you get what you pay for. the receptionist’s were nice and helpful.
