Good neighborhood, spacious room
The room was more like a studio apartment with a kitchen. Old building with a slow elevator, but nice.

Excellent, value, location... everything!
Everything about The State Plaza was fantastic. I had a standard suite which was huge! Hotel staff very accomodating. Very clean and location brilliant, walking distance from the great sights of DC. CVS store right next door. Would highly recommend this hotel great value for money.
The Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool and World War 2 memorial at night. Beautiful!

Great value
Apparently the product of merging two old apartment complexes, the State Plaza offers a lot of space - both times I have stayed here the room included a kitchen and sitting area. It’s an older complex, so don’t look for sleek styling and glitz in the rooms - but the place was clean and comfortable and the staff very helpful & friendly. On a Thursday night recently I paid less than half the amount my colleagues paid at a nearby ’name brand’ hotel. If there’s a downside to the location - it’s a healthy stroll or a $5 cab ride to the nearest Metro. Otherwise - a great value.
