best choice for Inverness

Loved the carpet weave and color, great staff help, great view from front to the river and castle, Sainsbury’s right around corner, church around another - nice part of town - roomy room, even our back side budget room, where the morning thunder of unloading kitchen or trash trucks (warned of by another review) arrived on cue but we rise early anyway.

Very early morning is the best time to be sightseeing, especially in big crowded tourist cities. Have a nice lunch, then big nap, because sightseeing is very draining, then get back out there. Bring your own radio, local radio is a rich part of the culture and your eyes must be tired from gawking all day. Nowadays, most rooms have only TV with a lousy choice of channels and no radio channel. A silent hotel room can be depressing. However, most rooms have too bright lights. To be comfortable in a small space, find the dimmest lighting option. A small water heater for relaxing night tea and morning coffee where prices are high and only for one serving.
