Good location; excellent, helpful staff
We found this hotel to be on the outskirts of Bologna and on the bus line to the center and train station. We found the staff so friendly, accommodating, and helpful. The rooms are dated; however, the bathroom are totally updated "green", and had 2 double beds that were very comfortable sleeping! We would stay there again!

Out of town but friendly and comfortable
Hotel was fine, although away from the centre. Buses are frequent into both town and rail station. We were given an upgrade to a junior suite for 10 euros a night. Huge bed and great bathroom. Staff all friendly and helpful.
Traveller's tip on local attractions
Although Bologna was pleasant enough it is a great place for getting around northern Italy by train. Good service and low prices. Recommend trips to Ferrara, Parma and, if it is sunny, Rimini. Longer journeys to Milan, Florence and Venice were also quite frequent.

Great value
If only all hotels in Italy cost the same. Alloro was the best value hotel in over 2 weeks in Italy. Nice rooms, pretty good breakfast. Neighborhood is not much to look at, but it’s a quick bus ride to the action.
