sort of what you would expect

The hotel was not a surprise from any point of view. I was not expecting large rooms and it was not, but it was not surprisingly small either. We could check in a bit earlier then granted and the staff was very friendly and helpful - though we did not have any special needs to be taken care of. If you need a hotel with charming surroundings - probably this is not your best choice. On one side of the hotel there is this giant concrete complex but in the other direction there are some restaurants and bars. Gets very quiet on a weekend night! But! The best part is that it is close to three subway lines, so made it quite easy to discover the whole city from here. Overall was a good value for the money we have paid.

Disappointed in service, from front desk to housekeeping.

The hotel quality was good. We were unsatisfied with service for two reasons. The front desk failed to tell us they would stamp our parking tab for a discount (after several questions about parking upon our arrival). Then a front desk worker stated she would speak with the manager about reimbursing us the difference and call me back-I never heard back. Later the evening after checking out of this hotel, I realized I forgot my Sonicare toothbrush in the bathroom. I immediately called the hotel and was told to call the following morning. I called first thing the next morning and the front desk worker stated he would check with the housekeeper and call me back. Two hours later I called back and was told "they did not find the toothbrush." I told him I knew exactly where I left it and he said he would relay the message to the housekeeping manager and have him call me back. The housekeeping manager did call me back to ask about what had been left behind and then stated he would check into it and call me back. Many hours and several attempts later, I reached the house keeping manager and he told me "they did not find the toothbrush." I asked to speak with the hotel manager and was told they would call me the next day. I again never heard back from management. I understand that I should not have left the toothbrush, however people do make mistakes. What happened to honesty and good service? Anyway, we would not stay here again.

Make sure you do the entire Freedom Trail.
