great for the Gym! just a place to stay for the night
the gym really makes this hotel! the room was bog standard (althought the largest bed ive ever seen!). it was in a nice area and as a single business woman, i would stay there again (it meets the basic needs - bed and gym), but the builders dont help the quality of the stay right now. i think theyre doing up some of the rooms so when i checked in at 5pm they were still working... banging, drilling etc in the room next to me... but that doesnt worry me - what does annoy me was that on leaving they left the fire escape at the end of the corridor, unlocked (backing onto a car park - only 2 doors away from my room). i tried to close it, but it seemed broken - told the front desk (a lad of around 20 years, and his manager standing in the doorway) but they didnt really seem to care and said he would check. when i returned to my room at 10pm that night to sleep it was still open - i slept with the light on, my door locked.
a wonderful gym! showers a bit grubby but then you always should take flip flops to these places.

Cheap and cheerful
This hotel appears to be in a fairly rundown state, with a lot of money needing to be spent on refurbishment. However the room was perfectly adequate and comfortable, and I made good use of the complementary swimming pool. Overall well satisfied with the value for money.
