Bad accomendation, worse service, do not recommend
We booked this hotel because it’s branded as a Sheraton property. Boy was I disappointed! As others have said, hotel is located in an unsafe neighborhood. There is a 7-11 across the street with unsavory people hanging around the corner. When we checked in at midnight, there was a very loud party downstairs that clearly can be heard upstairs. We booked a king bed but got two full beds. Front desk guy made up some excuses which leads me to believe he obviously doesn’t have a clue about delighting customers. On the plus side, parking is free but you take your chances if your car would be broken into overnight.

Very good place to stay for a DC visit
Hotel is easy to find from the Interstate hwy. It is clean, nice, has refrigerator and microwave in the room, shuttle bus to the Metro, dining in the hotel or around the corner (2 minute walk). Breakfast is not included but you can do a light breakfast in your room or get it very close by and there is a grocery store across the street. I will be happy to stay there again.
Traveller's tip on saving a few bucks
They have a shuttle bus to take you to the metro and pick you. Taking the Metro is much easier than driving and parking in downtown DC. The staff were very friendly. They do not offer a complementary breakfast but there is a great breakfast place around the corner, a 5 minute walk.

problems with hotel
Check in took over 25 minutes! The hotel was severely understaffed. Room service order was awful, way too salty. The sheets did not seem clean and crisp, the way other hotels I’ve experienced had been. Also, we could smell cigarette smoke from the hallways of our non-smoking room. We were so disappointed, we cut our stay short and returned home after only one night.
