Enjoyed the experience

Much of what other people have said about this hotel I agree with. It is clearly worthy of a 5 star rating the hotel being very comfortable and with good facilities. The gardens, gym, pools, spa, and overal design of the hotel is superb. The breakfast is excellent. The cost of meals and drinks in the hotel are a little steep in my view and drove us to eat out more than we would have if the costs in the hotel were more reasonable. Restaurants in the Playa Fanabe area are more similar to the cost you would have in the UK. I can recommend the restaurant Gran Reserva which has a mediterranean cuisine. You can in fact walk all along the coast from the hotel to Los Cristianos on a very attractive coastal footway. We did it just for the exercise, not that we necessarily wanted to go to Los Cristianos. We also used the car in the evening to get to restaurants. We would go again. We were overcharged by 60 euros when checking out but that was sorted ok before we left.

wonderful break!

we stayed from the 6th november for 4 nights,and couldnt have had a more enjoyable stay.the room was very comfortable, and the bathroom was great (the shower was lovely!!).we were on the ground floor,so our view was not great,which was a shame since the hotel was well below full occupancy and a better room would probably have been available (my only minor gripe).we found the staff very friendly and helpful,the breakfast was excellent (didnt try the restaurants)location is ok as long as you dont mind a little walk (fine for us),10 mins to a good selection of bars and food...would go back tomorrow if i could!!!!superb

Surpassed My High Expectations

I know this part of Tenerife well, but had not stayed at the Sheraton before. Beautiful location and hotel. Level of service excellent. Food excellent, and drinks priced reasonably for a 5 star hotel. Only issue I had was at checkin, one member of staff on reception desk. It took 25 minutes to checkin after eight hours travelling. Not a great first impression. Spoke to Duty Manager who advised if there was anything he could during our stay to ask. Well I wasn’t impressed with the view from the room, spoke to the Duty Manager and he moved us to another room with a fantastic view. Don’t expect a great view unless you book a Premium or above room. Also watch out for the Room Safe, ours decided to go into lock down mode on our last day, four hours before our flight home with our Passports inside. The Hotel Staff couldn’t open it, and had to call out the Safe Company’s Engineer. Two Engineer’s arrived after about 1 1/2 hours and opened the safe. But it was a close call. Hotel Staff did need quite a bit of prodding to realise the urgency of the situation, however once the penny had dropped they were pretty good. Will stay here again.

Deque Beach is a 10 minute stroll along the beach front. very nice beach and bars and restaurants. La Caleta Fishing Village is 15 minute walk, plenty of harbourside restaurants.
