Suited us
Only stayed one night en route to elsewhere. Very nice welcome from the cheerful reception staff. Had cute attic room (albeit a distance thru the corridors from reception, bar etc...) pleasant decor - decent bathroom (great shower pressure and LARGE towels - 2 of my nice to haves in a hotel!) Bar meal was good and reasonably priced. Decent buffet breakfast and again cheerful staff around. Would stay again if we were down this way and needing a room.

Yummy yummy
Hotel could do with a bit of an upgrade but don’t be deceived by the exterior appearance (needs painting) The staff mostly eastern europeans where polite curteous and mostly efficient. The two slovakians in the Ala carte restaraunt in an evening one tall and dark the other short and blonde where brilliant and the young English lady in charge at breakfast was superb, happy, bubbly and extremely efficient. The food was also excellent freshly cooked and professionally presented. If you only eat two meals a day make sure one is the full english breakfast and the evening Ala Carte (Sirloin beef) in peppercorn sauce. I put 3lbs on in three days ,well done.

Pleasantly surprised
We were looking for an escape from London for the night and booked this hotel at the last minute for an excellent price. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was extremely comfortable and we were in a quiet location. We didn’t have dinner in the restaurant, but the breakfast was excellent with a good choice of full English and continental options. We would be happy to stay here again if in the area.
