Convenient and comfortable
We went to a wedding in Manhattan, and the SMART train station was very close and let us get to Manhattan in about 20 minutes. The walk to the station was well lit and felt safe, even when we returned around midnight. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast was a bonus and had some decent selections such as oatmeal, croissants, and fresh fruit, in addition to the standard pastries and donuts. There is really no place to eat the breakfast, so plan on taking the food back to your room. There were also hot beverages and some pastries available all day. If you plan on driving to Manhattan, be aware that the Holland Tunnel closes around 1:00 am, so plan your route to come back another way.

Great value
With the PATH station within a ten minute walk, this hotel made it very easy to visit NYU.

Good location, well worth the price
Holland Motor Lodge price and services beats anything you might find in Manhattan and it is a short trip away. The PATH station is 10 minutes walk, across a shopping mall and PATH would take 20-25 minutes to reach central Manhattan. I appreciated all the added services: fridge, microwave, safe, satellite TV in the room. Continental breakfast and free coffee/tea is also nice to have. The only negative comment is that the rooms can be a bit noisy, since 8 lane of cars are going into Holland tunnel just in front of the hotel. But it was not too disturbing for me, besides, I’ve spent most of my time in town. Close to the hotel a large supermarket, a mall and few large shops.
