Nice Hotel
This was a good hotel with pleasant and helpful staff. Conveniently located to the River Market district and close enough to the convention center area to walk. The hotel didn’t just knock my socks off, but neither did I wish I had picked another location.
The Flying Fish restaurant just a couple of doors to the west is a great place to eat. If you like barbque, find one of the Whole Hog Cafe locations. If you are looking for Tex-Mex Mexican food...forget it in Little Rock.

Nice hotel but needs to understand certain circumstances...
This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. We decided to return after a great experience last year. Every year we attend the ATA World Championships in Little Rock. This year I had my competition on Sunday morning and our flight was at 4pm that same day. I called the front desk the evening prior to ask for late check out because I really wanted to shower after competing and before hopping on our flight (who would want to sit in their own sweat for the 9 1/2 hours of travel ahead?). We were informed that we needed to call in the morning to ask for late check out. We called around 7:30am and were told that we could not have it because they only allot a certain amount of late checkouts and needed to be out by noon. My competition times were 9:30 and 11:00 so I knew I couldn’t make it back in time for a shower. Disappointed and frustrated, my wife (who was 5 months pregnant at the time) and I (in a heavy weighted canvas uniform) had to trek our luggage 6 blocks to another hotel where other members of my family were staying. Did I mention that it was already 90 degrees outside with 80% humidity at this time? This journey was especially difficult for my wife. We are fortunate that we still had family staying in the area so I could take a shower after my competition. During events such as ATA Worlds and knowing that competitors are working out hard and need showers, it would have been nice to see this hotel accommodate their patrons on this weekend. We have decided not to return to this hotel next year and, instead, stay at the hotel where we were graciously greeted at the door, allowed to shower, store our bags with the front desk and were provided prompt taxi service to the airport. The Marriott’s loss is another hotel’s gain.
