Great place if youre staying a while
Residence Inns are nice because they are roomy and have kitchen facilities. This one also had a very nice breakfast buffet. The staff were wonderful and knew all things local including things to do, directions, and just general travel advice. We stayed 2 nights and our room wasnt cleaned as well as it could have been in between nights. Also, while the onsite parking is convenient, its a little pricey for someone who wants to stay more than one night. Still, the neighborhood is nice and many restaurants and sites are in walking distance.

Very good value
Stayed at the residence inn while working remotely in Halifax for several days. Very convenient location for waterfront, the citadel, us consulate, some malls, although its about 10 minutes walk from the nearest supermarket if youre planning on cooking for yourself in the kitchenette. They will do your grocery shopping for you if you ask, though, with no extra fee apart from the food itself. Continental breakfast was edible but the usual low-quality hotel fare. Free wireless and ethernet connection in the room and wireless in the lobby was very handy. You can print/photocopy in the lobby although Im not sure if they would handle large printing jobs, as it seems to be the hotels only printer/copier and is used by the front desk staff too. Exercise room is tiny but has some weights, a treadmill, and an elliptical, and you can watch tv while you work out.
