Worst Days Inn Ever
I’ve stayed at many Days Inn’s over the years and have always found them to be clean and reasonably priced. The Days Inn in Arcata fell outside of my usual findings. The room was dull, drabby and the carper smelled so bad that I did not take off my shoes until getting into bed. The carpet in the hallway was even worse. The beds were lumpy and you could see the outline of the springs showing through the sheets when you pulled back the blanket. For the rate that was being charged, this was unacceptable. I had previously stayed at anpther chain hotel on this street, that is actually considered a lessor brand, and had a much better experience. This hotel is located adjacent to several other brand name hotels of similar cost. I would recommend you try them before staying at this hotel!

Can’t beat the price.
This hotel was all right for an older building. The room was clean and the breakfast in the morning was simple. Had issues with the Wi-Fi and a MAC in the rooms. The MAC seem to work only in the lobby. The college age staff was great but had no issue with the smell of herb in the hallways.
