Will Definetly return
This was my first trip to lyon and i choice the hotel on the basis of its location and the other reviews on expedia. The hotel definetly lived up to my expectations, it was located in a nice area of the city with the metro lines within a 5 minute walking distance and was surrounded by both exceptional restraunts and shops.

Clean Comfortable and small modern bathrooms
While the lift to get into the hotel is a little quaint, the staff were really lovely, helpful and spoke in English. Rooms were clean, comfortable and larger than smiliarly priced hotel rooms in France. Flat screen TV and small but modern bathroom was also a plus. It was away from the action of the old town and business district but there were a number of busy restaurants close at hand.

Great location
This hotel was small but most accommodating and friendly. It is walking distance from Gare Part Dieu, the major rail station. It is also close to 2 Metro (subway) stops. There is a small grocery store across the street which is opened long hours. Restaurants are up and down the street. A small Patisserie (pastry shop) is also in the area. The largest park in Lyon is several blocks away. We enjoyed our stay in this hotel. We felt very safe in Lyon, even late at night.
Traveller's tip
Lyon was friendly and clean. The food was great. Check out Rue Merciere for a street lined with good restaurants. Try a macaroon made in Lyon. Lyon was great for taking the train to Geneva and Nice. Very enjoyable. Be prepared that some businesses are closed from 12 to 2 each day, and few businesses are open on Sunday.
