Did the job
Really enjoyed staying in the Marina Hotel and absolutely loved Matala. The Marina Hotel, despite being only 2 star, is very nice if very basic. But for a cheap holiday it’s perfect! To be honest we spent most of the holiday on the beach and just used the hotel for sleeping, showering and eating breakfast. Only drawback is that it’s at least a mile walk to the centre of Matala, where the shops and restaurants are, and the beach. This isn’t great when the sun is beating down on your back! A hire car is a good idea.
