Great location- not up to Disney Standards

Third time staying at our favorite location but this last time disappointing. Much had changed since our previous two visits. No soap in hotel bathrooms, check in process extremely long, and fees imposed on television. There was a fee to watch the Disney channel at DISNEY! Location is the charm with fee parking and a shuttle to the park. The cowboy atmosphere does put the family in great spirit for fun and adventure.

Euro Disney Hotel Cheyenne

Very basic room, no nice extras like a fridge or tea/coffee which might have enabled one to not have to pay the extortionate prices for drinks. Dreadful food which is also highly overpriced. Very convenient for the parks though which is really the only reason to be staying there.

I got a good deal

2 nights,3 days in May 09. 2 adults, 2 infants Because the kids were both under 3 they ate for free. I was not impressed with check-in. The queue at reception moved extremely slowly. 40 minutes to an hour even though it was not a terribly long queue. They need more staff to man the check-in desks. Once check-in was over we proceeded to our room. It was not large but just about big enough. It had a comfortable double bed and two singles (bunk beds). Unfortunately the top bunk bed was missing the protective barrier at the foot of the bed so we phoned reception who promptly sent someone to fix it. The room was clean. It had a TV which gave info about the Disney parks. It also showed some other channels including sports. The bathroom was ok - no problems with hot water. They provided soap bars, shower gel and shampoo. Breakfast consisted of hot drinks, cereal, croissants, baguettes, ham, salami, yoghurt and fruit - no fry up. Lunch and dinner buffets were ok although expensive - EUR23 per adult plus more for drinks. Characters were at the front of the hotel in the mornings, not at other times or places in the hotel so if you choose this hotel purely for disney characters then don’t hold your breath. Staff are helpful and courteous. It is a 10 to 15 min walking distance from the parks through lovely gardens and the disney village. Alternatively a 5 minute bus ride.

We visited during an off-peak period, i.e weekday during term-time in England so although it was busy it wasn’t too busy. Due to the season the characters had enough time for us and we got lots of photos with them. We didn’t have long ride queues either. Also if you want to park at St Pancras use Lomax car park - GBP13 per day and this includes a lift from there to the station and back, about 5 minutes each way or a 12 minute walk.
