Would go back
We were there out of season and found the hotel perfect for our weeks break. I am not sure how the atmosphere in the hotel would change with older children during high season. Not many UK visitors in the hotel mostly German and Dutch. The Buffet evening meal was so comprehensive and staff support made it unecessary to visit the restaurants.

Hire a car and visit the mountains and north western part of the island.

JUST WONDERFUL!!!
This is a truely lovely hotel, the service, the room, the spa, everything about this hotel was great. Will definitely be going back, especially without the kids!!!

More like a 4 Star Hotel
This certainly is not a 5 Star Hotel. On the plus side the setting and the style of the hotel was excellent and drinks etc were all reasonably priced. However if the hotel is to be regarded as a 5 Star Hotel it should address: 1 Quality of the Reception Desk Staff. The quality of service was very poor from start to finish, and were happy to keep you waiting even when not dealing with anyone else. and not very polite when you did get their attention. 2 Quality of towels,bathrobes,bedding etc. All of these were well past their ’sell by date’. This isn’t what you would you would expect in a such a hotel. 3 Entertainment. Poor quality acts were on and recycled after a week...they weren’t just cheesy they were poor. 4 Pool bar area. The service and quality of it were poor and people had to forever change chairs to find an unbroken one. It took ages to get any service. Also there was minimal service at the pools which meant you ended up having to go there for drinks during the day. 5 Sun beds. Far from having plenty of them you had to get up early to reserve them and many were in need of minor repairs. 6 Staff generally were not very helpful and seemed to think us an inconvenience rather than providing us a high class of service. For us this hotels overall service was no better than a 3 or 4 star hotel and there was no opportunity to feedback so to get them to improve. This is a shame as the hotel in appearance was so different to what we have visited before.
