Simple, clean, inexpensive
The Chisan Hotel has few luxuries, but it is clean, simple and good value for money. There is no dining room, and the guest rooms are small. The beds are not extremely comfortable, and the pillows a little hard - but not so much as to be a problem. The bathrooms are tiny, and the towels not the most plush, or the largest. But all of this is reflected in the price - and for a cheap place to stay in Nagoya, it probably cannot be beaten.
Traveller's tip on nightlife
Just across from the Chisan Hotel, and back a couple of streets is the Move bar. This tiny basement nightspot offers great priced drinks, cool rock music, and a friendly english speaking host.
