Excllent hotel
Very impressed with this hotel, especially as the great deal meant a 3 night stay was the same price as a 2 night. We were given the Summer Holiday room and whilst not a die hard Cliff fan it did give the room a certain cache with the posters etc around. The room was spacious, with 2 double beds that were very soft. Bathroom was a good size and everything was very clean. Very quiet hotel so able to rest. Fridge not stocked so you can put your own goodies in it. Front of house staff were very helpful and bar staff good. Only had breakfast once in the hotel, got freshly cooked food at a quarter of the price in a cafe down the road. Very good location for just about everything in Manchester. Would definitely stay again, especially if any more deals come up.
Manchester Science Museum - during half term had a steam train you could ride on, my surrogate grandchildren were beside themselves with excitement. Rest of museum was also good with the interactive section a great hit, even with the under fives.

i was asked when i booked in for a swipe of my credit card i said i would pay cash for any additinal items they insisited that they swiped my card even though i had already paid for the room, again i said no so they said they would have to take some cash off me in case their was any damage !! so i gave them my card i was not happy. also only on ebar small for a big hotel and it was downstairs to use the lift you had to use your room card, the staff where very good but i will not use the hotel again, the novetel is around the corner which i have booked before and it was much better

The review says it all
Overall the hotel is good and in a very good location for the city. The beds are very comfortable and room kept very clean. There are two points that need to be mentioned. When booking the hotel it is not mentioned that the hotel uses a multi story car park 2 minutes away and a fee has to be paid. We left our car for our 3 days stay at a cost of 45 pounds. Also no mention is made when booking that the hotel has a basement bar/nightclub. At weekends they play very loud music from 8pm until 2am. In the room we had, the music was very loud. I reported this at 10pm Saturday night after putting up with it on Friday. We were offered another room but by then it was too late and we were leaving the next day. On checking out I was given a letter of apology. They admitted that I should have been informed of this when I checked in.
