good place for a short break
Very central and comfortable hotel with helpful staff. breakfast a bit on the dear side. Comfortable bar altho the smoking spoils it as we’re not used to this coming from Scotland. Good gym - I was the only one there each time. Would recommend for ease of walking to major sites.
Traveller's tip on dining
stay off Nevisky Prospect (the main street) and choose somewhere to eat in a side street - much cheaper. Good places with live music are the Liverpool club and Red Fox jazz club - both welcoming of children, altho smoky. For a roof top view, try the Sevenskybar at the top of the Grand Palace shopping centre on Nevisky Prospect

I would recommend
good or even great location - 2 minutes walk from metro - clean friendly staff - wifi free but worked well in lobby - modern - a little charecterless - but better than some of the older russian style hotels that have charecter but of the wrong kind - overall a good value well located western style tourist and business hotel
