Good Value for Venice
It was very easy to get the Fly Bus from the airport (tickets from the machine in baggage reclaim) and the bus dropped us right outside the hotel. Checkin was quick and easy with very helpful reception staff (who even advised of a transport strike the following day). The room was nice - we were given an appartment with fridge, etc. Some bits are a little old and worn and the holder for the shower head was broken but generally it was fine. Travel to and from Venice itself was very easy (get the 72 hour tickets from reception). Breakfast was OK and nearby restuarants were good and reasonably priced for Venice - try the pizza place by the marina.
Get the vaporetta’s round the islands Murano, Burano & Torcello. Murano glass was cheapest on Murano.

Great Value for your money close to Venice
Overall service was good to great, including a great breakfast. Clean rooms and helpful employees are high points. Low points -First night I got a room which shower was broken (having to take a bath!). -Person dealing with my complaint on Saturday morning was at least sloppy in customer service (he said he would take care of it, and after a while I asked him and admitted on Saturday no repair works are conducted) -I got an upgraded room for Saturday where the shower worked (though not the most water pressure in the world).
Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Get the ticket for unlimited rides on the Vaporettos (ships to go around Venice) at the hotel counter. They will save you money and time.

Excellent location for access to Venice
Very friendly welcome and straight forward check-in. The bus from the airport stopped right outside the hotel, so very convenient. Our room was on the fourth floor, with a balcony, very clean and comfortable. We went in September and the temp was late 20s/early 30s, but the hotel had already turned off the air con and put the heating on, so we slept every night with the balcony doors open!! Ideally the room could have done with tea/coffee making facilities, a full length mirror, and an additional bin in the bedroom itself. Overall the hotel was excellent, good breakfast, clean and tidy, quiet location and convenient for transport to Venice. We had a lovely time.
Traveller's tip
If your aim is to go to Venice I would suggest NOT staying in Venice itself. We saw so many people struggling in the centre of Venice looking for their hotels or trying to get on or off the Vaporetto with luggage. Stay just outside like we did, the transport links are so good and they run late into the evening. You can get transport tickets for up to 72 hours unrestricted travel on bus and vaporetto.
