Impressed on both occasions
Receptionist very friendly and helpful. Room clean and comfortable. Local attractions easy to travel to.

Nothing spectacular but OK
The room could definitely do with some updating and refurbishing - in the bathroom round the bath in particular and some cupboard edges were chipped. It was clean enough though and not too cramped, the bed was a good size and there was plenty of tea and coffee. I would say it was nothing out of the ordinary but OK. It was in a convenient location for us and taking the dog was not a problem which was our main concern, there was plenty of areas to walk him outside too.
Traveller's tip on shopping
Gretna Shopping Village is only just up the road if you are looking for a few bargains - the reception staff should point you in the right direction.

Good Value!
First time in a motorway type "hotel", pleasantly surprised, definately as much as you can expecty for the price! The town is nearby, with a pleasant pub and food the only downside was the room smelt of smoke andthere were cigarette buts outside all the windows!!! Not sure what they can do to fix this but it needs sorting. Overall 9/10 though.
