Albert at Bay - great place to stay
I stayed at the Albert at Bay for 2 nights back in September. There are ads all around Parliament area advertising their "Really, Really big suites" and I have to say it is quite true. This is a converted apartment building but the rooms are very nice (proper seating area, full kitchen, coat closet in hall, storage closet in suite, bedroom with large closet, 2 bathrooms). For me a dramatic change from the typical hotel room where you can see everything no matter where you stand in the room.
Traveller's tip on dining
Tokyo Sushi 248 Kent Street (about 7 blocks) is very good. Very small, no liquor license but good sushi. Reasonably priced as well. 222 Lyon - tapas. Incredible food and wine.

Amazing suite for the price
Currently traveling in USA and Canada over a 5 months period. This hotel is the best one I’ve stayed in. When I booked I had not realized all rooms were suites. I believe I had a standard one but I wish I would live there. I totally recommend this hotel, and would definitively stay there again if I would ever return to Ottawa.
