Very basic and needs renovation
When you check in, and despite prepaying, they ask for a "damage deposit" it sets the tone for what follows!! Staff friendly and helpful, good cooked breakfast (with vegetarian option). Cheap - in every sense. Stayed in worse, but could not recommend generally.

A little off the beaten track!
This place is old but friendly, and right on the train line so it was convenient for us since we were traveling by train. We enjoyed a less hectic area to stay. However, the cab fare was quoted to us as 6pounds to the Birmingham Internation airport and it turned out 12 pounds...perhaps our cabbie was a little greedy??? or the front desk personal needs to get up to date...Having a restaurant in the hotel was also a plus for us.We’d stay there again.
Restaurant hours are select and really nothing outside the hotel.Be prepared with snacks untill food is available.

old but got a good nights sleep
hotels decor is bit old but all i got a good nights sleep, hotel was also the cheapist in birmingham
