Very changed - not always for better
A massive investment has been made in improving this previously charming, and first rate, country hotel. The result is not always for the benefit of guests. The restaurant prices are seriously high; the second level customer relations staff exhibit a serious glint of profit; and whilst the public areas are now modern rural, the bedroom I stayed in was unimproved and still without shower.
Traveller's tip on dining
Book a nearby restaurant.

Beautiful Location
Village of Puligny-Montrachet was one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited and the hotel was lovely. Great location for visiting world famous wine growing region and a base for cycling/walking. The restaurant was very nice but we found it outrageously expensive, make sure you check the price of the evening menu before you book for Dinner. Food was very good but personally I didnt think it warranted the price tag.
Traveller's tip on recreational activities
Walk out of the village, up the hill and hook up with the network of well signed footpaths. There is a fabulous walk to the nearby village of Meursault across the top of the ridge with superb views of the surrounding area.

Fantastic hotel; central Burgundy location; great restaurant - would definitely return
Great value for money. The restaurant alone is a reason to stay here - amazing food !!! Staff were very friendly and attentive. The hotel was undergoing expansion works but we would not have known for there was no interruption or noise. Rooms are very well kept and clean and ample room - even with a baby cot. More a 4 star than 3 star hotel. Highly recommended
