Stay again
The hotel was a great value and perfectly located in Montreal. Maybe we were fortunate this time, but the view was amazing outside of our window. The usual room has you looking at a wall or over the rooftop of another building. We were greatful to see McGill University, skyline etc. Did not dine in the restaurant but the ambiance and menu looked appealing, far too many great places in walking distance.

One of the Best
It takes a lot to impress us but this hotel was definitely very impressive and in our opinion should be rated higher than a three star. The front desk staff were very helpfull and most accomodating. Our room was spotlessly clean upon our arrival and the housekeeping staff made sure that when we returned each night everything was in perfect order, clean linens and towels and fresh toiletries. The room itself was quite large and well laid out and the balcony was a definite "plus". I dont know if we were just on a quiet floor but we heard no noise either from adjacent rooms or the hallway. The location is excellent, only about one and a half blocks from the "metro station" and you can get almost anywhere on the island from the metro, many nice restaurants (the Bellagio around the corner is wonderful) Le Baie department store and many specialty shops, all within walking distance. We will definitely be booking any future stays at this hotel.

Beautiful Hotel, But they have to improve on their service...
What a beautiful hotel! Its 2 blocks from St. Catherine, just convenient. They also have a spa, gym and a gym. But heres my small little dilemma...They have to improve in their service. One night we didnt have enough towels..so we called front desk kindly asking them if they can send more towels to the room. It took 2 follow up calls to finally get some towels up to our room, and how many did they bring?? only 1, with a wait time of 25 mins. My girlfriend was upset LOL. The other night we decided to eat at their restaurant, we sat down to eat. Either they were short staffed or they were really slow. 20 mins later, we got impatient and sat at the bar and ordered food and drinks. Again...i totally recommend this beautiful hotel to anybody!!! But in my opinion if im spending a pretty canadian penny then i would at least expect good service.
We went to Montreal in October..boy! was it cold!!!!! I was talking to locals and they were telling me the best time to go to montreal is on spring and summer.. because there is more going on.
