Worst Ever
This hotel is the worst ever we have stayed in. When we arrived in the room there were no wardrooms but only portable hangers. There were two pillows which were totally inadequate which forced us to ask for another two pillows. The pool was a joke as it was so small it resembled a bath!!(dont let the photo on the internet kid you). Too round the holiday off we lost our key on the last night and when we arrived back at the hotel at twelve the whole place was closed. They had a sign up to ring a bell for service or ring a mobile number if there was no response. All we can say is that there was no response from neither and it ended up that my wife and I had to sleep in the corridor all night!! And then to really put a tin hat on it the next morning a staff member came up to advise that there were complaints about the noise!! Our advice is to stay well clear of this hotel.

Would recommend to a friend
We stayed in the Saint Charles for nearly a week. Its in an excellent location, only five minutes from the beach and 5 minutes from the train station for anyone wishing to explore outside Juan les Pins. We found the hotel to be great value (for an area that is generally overpriced), we has a good size room and plenty of storage. The room was nicely decorated and the bar downstairs is very trendy although a little quiet. I would definately stay there again.

Basic accommodation, but good location
My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights in August 2009. We picked this hotel based on the reasonable price and good reviews from previous visitors. Unfortunately our expectations were a bit too high! The hotel looks tired and run down from the outside, and we had one of the Standard Rooms, which turned out to be a lot more basic than we expected. Very small and uncomfortable bathroom, two twin beds pushed together, no table in the room, very very cheap storage units which was shaky and was falling apart. Our bathrooms shower outlet was blocked, which made for an uncomfortable first shower experience, but to the staffs credit, they fixed it as soon as we complained. The floor of the room was not cleaned properly and felt dirty and sandy from the start. Toilet paper wasnt refilled so we had to ask for it. Small things like that just added up to cause a bit of irritation. So, a tip would be to book into one of the Superior Rooms if you want to stay at this hotel! On the positive side - the hotel is at a brilliant location. Very close to local shops and restaurants, and the train station is also just a few minutes away if you would like to hop on a train to explore the nearby towns. The small pool area is also pleasant if you want to sit outside and have a drink after a long day of sunbathing.
Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Buy bottles of water in bulk at the local Casino store, it will save you a lot of money! To get to the hotel, take the no 200 Cannes bus from Terminal 1 at Nice airport (if you arrive at Terminal 2, take the free shuttle bus to Terminal 1). The bus journey takes about an hour, but for only 1 euro per person it was worth it!
