Wonderful room in the heart of the old town
I booked the room through Hotels.com and expected to get a standard room, however the room we were allocated was nearly a suite with large bathroom and a wonderful wooden ceiling. The service at reception was good, The breakfast buffet was adequate but without the choice I would have expected from this standard of hotel. The position was excellent, right opposite the cathedral .
Use the A bus from outside the station to get to the hotel on weekdays-it stops virtually on the doorstep. Unfortunately it does not run at weekends.

Would stay here again
This is a lovely little hotel right in the middle of Regensburg’s sights and attractions. I had booked a single room for 3 nights but was upgraded to a spacious double room, which made me feel very welcome. The room was very comfortable, with a dinky little coffee machine ans lovely shower room. There was a little chocolate on the pillows when I arrived; I scoffed them both assuming that they would be replaced the next night, but they weren’t. The room had a minibar but it wasn’t restocked either. Despite these minor failings, I would recommend the hotel and would definitely stay there again if I were in Regensburg. There is a lovely garden outside where you can enjoy a meal or a drink.
AirportLiner run a great service transferring people between Munich (and Nuremburg) airport and Regensburg. They called the day before to tell the hotel what time they would pick me up and they came exactly on time. This service saves you from traveling via Munich.

Great base to discover Regensburg
This hotel is in a perfect position, right next to the Cathedral and the Alte Kapelle. Cafes, bars and restaurants are close by. The hotel is in the old town of Regensburg with its wonderful shops and historic buildings. The Old Stone Bridge is about 7mins walk away. The hotel is nicely appointed (recently renovated) with decent size rooms and bathrooms. We would stay there again.
