Excellent mid-range hotel in Tarrytown
Rooms are typical for Marriott -- small but adequate, clean and good condition. Get a room with the included breakfast since the buffet/menu are pretty good (but expensive if you buy separately). Internet is extra and expensive.

i had a very comfortable stay at this hotel. The hotel was clean as were the rooms.

Ruth chris has great food but other than that you have to travel to other destinations.

Nice Hotel by Sleepy Hollow NY
This was a nice hotel. The only problem is that the pool is in an alcove that has rooms overlooking it up to the 5th floor. While its neat to look down at the pool from your balcony, its very loud when you are trying to sleep. The pool closes at 10pm. After a day of traveling, we were unwinding and having had a first floor room, were stuck listening to the folks playing and screaming in the pool for an hour. Get a room that does not overlook the pool. Also our RSVP said King size and we ended up with two queens. There were 3 weddings and 2 Bar Mitvahs going on at the same time, the lobby was busy, so we just stayed in the room we had rather than deal with the crowd in the lobby. But the room was comfy, great big TV. Its a nice place.
Traveller's tip on local attractions
Sunnyside, Washington Irvings home was very nice. However the ladies at Philipsburg Manor were inconceivably rude and ill mannered. Not pleasant, didn’t enjoy their job, were yelling at one another over some misunderstanding..I would skip Philpsburg Manor all together.
