Just what you need
If your looking for a simple, self-catered apartment this is ideal. Its clean, its a minute walk from the coast and a 5 minute walk from bars and restaurant. There’s an amazing beach a 5 minute drive and the main beach is just a walk away. We went as a couple and their was loads of space although i could imagine fitting 6 adults in would be a squeeze. Perfect for families.

Lovely little gem!
My boyfriend and I stayed here for 4 nights in June 08. The apartment was to sleep 6, and would be a bit cramped with 6, but 4 would fit in perfectly and heaps of room for 2. Well equiped for self catering (tho’ tiny cups not very good for British Tea drinkers, fine for expresso and coffe however). Hotel has a swimming pool which gets the sun all day. Very friendly receptionists, I cannot speak French very well at all, but they appreciated my efforts and their English in return was excellent! The apartments are about a 10 min walk from the port sea front with loads of lovely restaurants and a small ferry to take you over to the main area of Sable d’olonne. We hired a car and were just 15 mins away from some awesome surf beaches, canoeing on the lake, and go karting. only 60 min drive from Nantes airport too. Definately recommend.
Traveller's tip on saving a few bucks
Ryanair return flight (Sale, online booking, hand luggage only) 10POUND for two. Car hire for 4 days from Nantes airport 70POUND Petrol 20POUND Accomodation 140POUND Really cheap 4 days break. Perfect! Would have been even cheaper if 2 more came along and shared costs.

Value for Money Late Season Break
Two of us stayed 2nd - 9th October in 6 berth chalet, so we had plenty of room. The rooms (separate bathroom, toilet, bedroom)were basic but clean. There was hardly any transmitted noise from our neighbours through party walls. Could walk to La Chaume shops/restaurants in 15 minutes. Les Sables was either a 4k drive (easy parking once there) or river bus from La Chaume. E Leclerc supermarket nearby has everything you will need. Les Sables sandy beach can be recommended. Warning: reception opening hours are very restricted out of season and you may have to phone to find the whereabouts of the key. OK if you are fairly fluent in French.
