great location for the price
Great location opposite Queen’s Park and within three minutes of a railway station and thence,via the frequent service,into Glasgow Central in under 10.Room was good and comfortable.Bathroom could have benefitted from better lighting,and a more efficient mixer system for the shower over the bath.Breakfast ample but fried food a bit limp.However , served by cheerful staff. All staff helpful. More TV channels would have been welcome. Great location for a long weekend in Glasgow which is an attractive city with a noticably helpful population. Difficult to find current day’s International Herald Tribune in Glasgow but this is not the hotel’s fault ! I’ll be back.
You can stay slightly off the beaten track provided you are within walking distance of the excellent, and cheap,railway system.

Great Hotel
The hotel was a very nice, small hotel with extremely friendly and helpful staff. Very quaint, across the street from a very nice park. Located a little outside the main city area, but easily accessible by cheap train.
