A glorious relaxing and romantic break in the sun

Thr most glorious setting - seeing the sun setting over the sea whilst having a bottle of Sardinian wine with dinner in the hotel restaurant was a daily highlight. A good choice of beaches, pool and decking for places to relax and spend the holiday. Umbrellas by the pool side would have been beneficial to protect our white skin from both the strong sun, and the afternoon winds (but they are available on the beaches and decked areas)! We would definitely recommend this hotel and can’t wait to return.

Pure Relaxation!

This is my second stay at the Hotel Relax Torreruja and I am even more impressed with this hotel the second time around. Having traveled most of the Northeast coast during the previous week it was so nice to drive down from the mountains to this picturesque peninsula of pink granite. There was some mix up with our room so they bumped us up to a suite. What a gorgeous room; living room, childs room (2 beds), master bedroom, 1 1/2 bath front and back terrace with seating for four including teak lounges and all this with a view of the ocean. The food was once again excellent, but don’t expect English or German fair, strictly Italian with a Sardegnian twist. Most evenings featured a 4 course menu with several selections for each course and twice a week the meals are served buffet style. Breakfast is straight forward with a few local products thrown in for good measure. The wait staff was excellent, friendly, helpful and most spoke either English or German which helped the majority of the guests. A pool with a view! The pool is excellent with plenty of room for guests to lounge and swim. You can also snorkel along the coast below the hotel or lounge on wooden platforms built on the granite just above the surf. The night life is very relaxed a fully stocked bar with a resident piano player is really the only thing going, but if you are looking to relax with your partner and enjoy the breathtaking sunset this is the place to be.

Highs and Lows

The location is beautiful and service was top class. The food was very good also. However, the pool had no umbrellas nor were they allowed which was uncomfortable. Th rooms were a bit dingy and the air conditioning was very poor and noisy. We had a lovely time here but we were only staying for 4 days, the above issues would have been a problem if we were here for a longer stay
