The villa was built in the 1700's for the Sette family to escape the summer heat of Venice. Napoleon's troops sequestered the villa during the battle of Brenta. The barchessa dates from 1500 and was used as a shelter for animals and for grain storage.

One of the best hotels in Basano del Grappa
This boutique hotel is probably one of the best hotels if not the best of the Basano del Grappa area. Its an old italian villa with great views of the Basano area from its terrace. Rooms are well designed and impeccable. Restaurant is great and worth making the reservation for dinner. Service in the hotel and restaurant is a bit slow but very warm and friendly, as is to be expected of a family run hotel. Stay there, its worth it.
Try the grappa!
