Best Venice hotel we have found in recent years.

Refreshingly modern, with an excellent location - and very well maintained. Helpful, friendly staff too.

Would stay there again

We stayed for 4 nights in a deluxe room which was spacious and kept spotlessly clean. Towels etc were changed am and pm and the room prepared for "bedtime" each evening. The breakfast was the fairly standard continental but was more than adequate. The reception staff were extremely polite and helpful. The location is excellent with most attractions within walking distance. Ideal place to stay

Traveller's tip on saving a few bucks

Venice is not a cheap place to visit. Most restaurants apply a service charge so be aware. An inexpensive carry out lunch is easily got from the numerous cafes. The further away from San Marco Square the cheaper things are. Wine is expensive but cheap from the local shop. Read menus carefully before ordering as most items are priced separately . Dont sit at the cafes in the Square unless you want to pay 16 euros for a coffee.

Beautiful Hotel but terrible service

This hotel is gorgeous but my boyfriend and I, had a bit of trouble getting the room we paid for. Long story short, the guy working behind the counter felt it was weird we were only staying for 1 night. He tried to "upgrade" us in their sister hotel next door (which was NOT AT ALL like Palace Bonvechiati ie.. modern). So I said no to that and that I wanted to stay in the modern hotel that I spent the money on. (ps. this hotel was the most expensive we stayed at...even compared to our beautiful one on the expensive island of Capri). Anyways, he then tried to move us to this terribly small room in the modern hotel. It was obviously meant for the disabled because it had wide doors and bars in the bathroom. It looked NOTHING like what their pictures looked like. I then said no, there is something wrong. This is definitely NOT what I paid for and I want to stay in the room that I did. He then moved us to the correct room, huffing and puffing, and mad because he couldn’t pull a fast one on us. He continued to give us dirty looks for our entire stay. This hotel is GORGEOUS and I would recommend staying there AND would even stay there again myself BUT BUT BUT wanted to warn you if you only stay for 1 night, makesure they don’t pull a fast one on you.
