Holiday to Marseille - Oct 2008
We stayed at the AAdagio City Aparthotel Marseille Prado Plage. The apartment was in a great location and good district in Marseille, near to the beach and the shops. Five minutes walk away on the beachfront were themed restaurants and a few shops which we liked. The hotel staff were helpful and friendly. The room was a nice size for a short stay.
Lovely shops in Rue Paradis, off Avenue du prado. Metro service is cheap & good. If you can’t afford to go and eat out every night, go to the supermarket Monoprix, they do good hot food to takeaway.

Excellent location but
We specifically asked for four beds as we were four single gentlemen. On arrival we were offered one twin bed and a sofa bed which was very disappointing. The hotel was full and they could do nothing about it. They promised to do something the following day. This was not caried out. We did not have any hot water during our first morning. There was only one chair on the balcony despite four of us. Bathroom was clean and well stocked. Good value though if you are given what you booked.
I would recommend eating at the restuarants along the beach which were excellent-do not go the Vielle Port catering establishments as they are expensive and very poor quality.
