Good hotel, good location, wonderful service made it 5*
Liberty hotel is a 5-6 minute walk from the main street/areas in Catania and so benefits from being in a relatively quiet position. That said, there are still many cafes and shops nearby, and it is an easy and safe walk to the main street, Via Etnea. The hotel is sumptuously decorated (as per pictures), clean and well-maintained. Our room was fairly large, with a large clean bathroom. Breakfast was a well stocked Italian-style buffet consisting of fruit, yoghurt, croissants etc What really sets this hotel apart is the extremely friendly and super-efficient service from all the staff - it was the best service we have ever come across in a city-centre hotel at this price. We would not hesitate to recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Catania or the surrounding area.

Do not miss the fish market... The restuarants nearby look basic, but serve up the finest fish dishes - YUM!

Fabulous Hotel
This is a fabulous place to stay in an ok neighborhood to walk. It would be very helpful if they could clean up the surrounding streets, graffiti etc. It is very good value for the money and the breakfast was outstanding. I would stay there again.

A Good Experience
Our room was very nice with a lot of old world charm. My only complaint would be the hardness of the mattress which we found uncomfortable.
