the best advise from hotel receptionist
Perfect central location for new town, old town, promenade, buses, tram and trains. Although it is an older hotel (I prefer quaint over ultra modern) it is well looked after and comfortable. We were lucky to meet up with the very knowledgeable Alain (night receptionist) who basically planned our out of town trip, was a font of info on buses and train times and wisely advised us on which villages to visit. Unfortunately the students at reception although very friendly were not knowlegable. We didn’t have breakfast in the hotel so can’t comment on this. I fully recommend this hotel because of it’s location.
Get to Ville Franche - unmissible.

Good location, but old and a little tired. Worth it if cheap enough.
Excellent location, but urgently in need of a revamp. Old fashioned room, wood chip wall paper (yuk) but a reasonable place if you’re out all day.

Ideal for those that want to get up and go out all day
Wound’t normally book a 2 star hotel but this was ideal for this trip. we were up early every morning and out all day , just back to shower and out to eat , them back to sleep. The sheets were clean everyday the towels also, the bathroom very tired and in need of some tlc but again clean maybe a coat of paint wounld’nt go wrong but all in all perfect for what we were doing. can’t commment on breakfast as we had ours out.
