Cheap Hotel- but dirty
This hotel was cheap, but dirty. We could only imagine what was under the sheets we were sleeping on but did not want to look. The head boards had grease stains on them, from what appeared to be a persons forehead. They informed us at check in the air conditioning was not working, but thankfully it was cool enough outside to keep the window open. The carpet was very dirty and didn’t look like it was cleaned for several years. Only stay here if you are looking for a cheap room in a great city.

Below expectations
The hotel, whilst being conviently located for crossing the Rhone to Place Bellecour and beyond, is somewhat ’tardy’. The air-conditioning wasn’t working in any of the rooms, we were promised daily that the engineers would "fix it today", they didn’t! The male receptionists were surly and unhelpful. Lyon itself is a beautiful city, some of our group will return, - but not to the Kyriad Prestige(?) !
Rue des Marronniers by place Bellecour has many restaurants, we ate in three of them, all good. Cross the Saone to the Cathedrale St-Jean and wander up rue St-Jean, lots of great value, and great food, restaurants.

Good and Bad
Staff were very very helpful and attentive but the issue was we were given Room 216 and everytime somebody used their bathroom or shower, there was an enormous racket with the plumbing. We were woken up from 4.30am. It was unbelievably noisy. It spoiled our stay. If you are given room 216, ask for another room is my advice. I think we were very unlucky.
