More experienced staff needed!
Very convenient for the university campus. A well stocked gym with a pool and interesting jakusi beds! Rooms mostly in an annex a short walk from bar and dining facilities but spacious with reasonable parking outside. Main downer is a lack of experienced staff in the restaurant bar and breakfast room. We had to wait ages to be served and heard similar comments from fellow guests. Would suggest dining in Bath!

Review
Lovely views and comfy rooms. Up in the hills over lokking Bath and good facilities. Fabulous gardens and surroundings. Bar was modern with a wide varity of drinks and good breakfast selection. Only downer was having to walk from the reception to the rooms which were in a different building. Would have been ok if we had been offered umbrellas as it was pouring with rain!

Almost there but not quite!
The facilities at this hotel are second to none, the leisure facilities are excellent. The main "guest facilities" and bar are very good. The views from the hotel over the valley are breath taking and cannot be faulted. Our room for this visit however was not to that standard. Very comfortable, yes, but in need of some TLC. The shower seal on door passed water, more than a leak, it flooded the bathroom! Because of this the bathroom was "damp", the extraction fan was inefficient at clearing the moisture content of the room. ( I am a heating engineer !) That said, the patio and views more than made up for the slight wear and tear issue of the room itself.
Traveller's tip on dining
Dine in the "Bistro" are of the bar instead of the formal dining room. You can eat in that for breakfast!. The "Bistro" has more character and atmosphere. Its a lot more romantic "in the cellar"!!
