Can’t wait to go back again

Our family loved the hotel. We enjoyed the pools, the sandy beach, and the many activities offered by the hotel. We mostly enjoyed the bike ride in rubber plantations, the morning yoga classes, the beach spa, windsurfing, and the peguine club for the little one! The food was superb. the hotel grounds are amazing! However, I wish they had more going on at the hotel after 7:00 pm. The lighting was very dim at night and v. few activities going on. No nightlife!! Khao Lak restaurants are great, Don’t miss to try JAI, or as pronounced by the locals tai(meaning heart). Great authentic Thai food!!The hotel service was great. The people are extreemly friendly and helpful. Would go back again any time!! Maha

The peguine club for the little ones( is highly recommended)kids love it!!

Complete Paradise

Truley all star quality! The facilities at the hotel were top class. Beautiful grounds and luxury rooms. The food and bar prices were what you would expect to pay in a hotel like this and certainly not as cheap as the local town, but delicious none the less. Once in the hotel due to the expanse of the grounds and the hotel’s locality, it is difficult to venture out without paying for a shuttle bus service or a chauffer car unless you hire a vehicle. The shuttle which runs every night from 5:30pm to 10pm goes to the nearest town Khao Lak for 100 baht (2 pounds) per person per way. Not bad considering that it’s a good 15 minute drive away. You certainly can’t walk it. In the town there are many cheaper options to eat at in local restaurants most set up for tourists. There is also a restaurant on the beach about a 5 minute walk from the resort. They seem to do pretty good business for lunch and dinner from the guests at the hotel. This is the perfect place if you want to get away from it all, relax and watch the world go by.

Traveller's tip on dining

The special buffets the hotel do are very good quality and worth the 20 pounds you pay for eat as much as you like per person. Also come with entertainment.

wonderful honeymoon getaway

tucked away in secluded Khao Lak, this hotel was a really nice escape. the beach is wonderful and peaceful, no real waves but nice beach bean bags along the sand for reading, resting and 2 platforms to swim out to. sand is good for sandcastle-making. lots of pretty seashells. we were given a 2 night free upgrade to a pool villa from the original lagoon villa we had booked. every evening, complimentary snacks were served in our room. they even gave us a "happy honeymoon" cake and bottle of champagne one night. the international buffet breakfast is really amazing and changes slightly every day so you don’t get too bored. we stayed for 6 nights. There are about 6 restaurants in the hotel and if you walk down the beach to Rim Lay you can get cheap local food. the food was not ridiculously expensive when we converted to US dollars but also did not blow us away in quality. we tried the japanese/korean restaurant (twin pavilion) and it was not that good. we took the hotel shuttle to town one night and ate at Khao Lak Seafood Restaurant - that was tasty and affordable. One of the best finds was a Currywurst berlin pub (bright yellow awning) located next to a steak house on the way to town. if you’re tired of thai food, this really hits the spot: beer and currywurst! the spa was also really great.
