Nastro Azzurro & Occhio Marino Resort - A good week away
The hotel was comfortable and largely clean. The rooms were large enough for us. We had a small problem with ants in our room. The shuttle service to Sorrento is very efficient but gets filled quickly, so make your plans and book it as early as possible. One evening we returned to our room to discover that the toilet flushed continuously. Within an our the problem was fixed with minimal fuss. This is typical of the responsiveness of the extremely friendly and helpful staff. The swimming pool is large although shade is at a premium. If sunbathing is what you want it’s great. The buffet Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Will we go back? Possibly. The hotel was fine, but we have done all we wish to in the Sorrento area. But we recommend this hotel to others
Despite what we read, many places do not take credit cards (including trains and buses!), so take plenty of cash or be prepared to use cashpoints in Sorrento

Mixed bag!
I found it difficult to believe that the hotel staff did not carry my wifes heavy luggage to the annex, well over 100m away, and up 20odd steps. If fact the tubby staff member managed a veritable sprint to the top, whence he stopped and looked back with a ’keep up’ look! Also, the hotel hosts weddings which are loud, late and regular over summer weekends. It didnt bother us too much, but look out if you like quiet. When these functions are on, only one restaurant is open. Food is OK only. Rooms are clean and comfortable. They dont like you to put your own things in the minibar fridge... Watch out diabetics. The pool area is good with plenty of space. Drinks are very expensive. Its not really within walking distance to anything. I perhaps would not go back, but the booking price made it a good value for money break, which overall we enjoyed.
