a low quality Golden Tulip
the hotel is clean, yet small rooms. Most of them is facing inside, and to get the rooms on the ocean you need to pay much more. The staff sent me on a wild goose chase trying to find a Citi-bank, also was not impressed with their recommendations of Restaurants, since I have been to Rio many times before, I knew the places they are sending me to are very touristic and bad food The restaurants at the hotel serves awful food, so do not go there for lunch or dinner and stick with the buffesr Breakfast

Great beach access on a budget - good service
We had a very basic room right across the street from the beach with a grest breakfast bar included. Brazillian service and hospitality is very good. The view from the bar is great and off season (we went in early June) the beach is not crowded.
Traveller's tip on saving a few bucks
If you go behind the hotel one street the price of restaurants is much less expensive and there is a great grocery store for drinks.

Slow Internet
Although this hotel offers internet service, the connection was very slow. It was only a little better if I logged in at 5 in the morning. The swimming pool is tiny, and there is only one chaise lounge. The beach front location is excellent, the breakfast is good, and the personnel are friendly.
