Simple but good
Hotel Delibab suited our needs perfectly. It is a basic hotel without lots of extras and very reasonably priced All we wanted a base to sleep that was clean and comfortable. It was that. We did not want or need lots of extra facilitiesThe breakfast was a real bonus, set us up for the days sightseeing perfectly. The staff were friendly and helpful. Excellent location 1 minute walk to the metro which was very efficient. The hotel was quiet with excellent eating places close at hand. We would happily return
If staying for a week as we did get a 7 day ticket, this covers all public transport in Budapest and made getting around very easy

underwhelming but clean
Safe and quiet (if slightly out of the way) neighborhood across from the park and a Metro stop. Quaint if shabby building (former Jewish childrens orphanage); tiny, spartan room kept clean. NOT a place to stay if you spend much time in your room.
Traveller's tip
IMPORTANT: if using the Metro in Budapest, be sure to VALIDATE your ticket before boarding! The guards are especially tough on obvious tourists and spring frequent, surprise ticket checks; my boyfriend and I each had to pay $30. Expensive and very unpleasant!

Good value.
Very good breakfast buffet. Help with ordering airport minibusz. Common-use Computer with internet connections worked only infrequently. Location in quiet neighborhood, not too far from train station, but not in center of town.
Traveller's tip on dining
Paprikas-Venezia, recommended by hotel and proved reasonable with delicious food.
