ok for overnight

There are no level rooms avail--they used the main floor for there overnight workers. We weren’t able to access WIFII in the room had to go the lobby area. The rooms are small like most european room. OK if just yousrelf or a couple. Not reccommend if staying a long time. Not much room to store clothes or luggage .Bathrropms small an only a shower. They were clean and bed comfortable.24 hr desk service and were friendly and helpfull with directions and helped with carrying luggage upstairs. No lift.We were there do to a layover overnight...Food market across the street .A few blocks from the main road to get a bus.

Basic Hotel, good for the price. Would go back.

The Hotel is situated just off the Edgware Road and within easy walking distance of Marble Arch tube station. It is a converted small old 19centuary house full of safety features insisted upon by the Fire Regulations. Staff are very friendly, relaxed and helpful. The room had a double bed, 2 sides against the wall and just enough room to move around the other 2 sides......small. Spotlessly clean also the en-suite which was engineered, not to say shoe horned into a 3feet 6inch square! Had shower basin and WC. Everything worked... good job I am fairly slim! Tea making, fridge, coffee, hairdrier, tv, internet. Breakfast is given to you in a basket the previous evening and comprises cereal, croisant and yogourt to eat in your room the next morning. The room was at the back of the Hotel and very quiet for central London. Edgware Road is "Little Middle-East" these days and full of Indian, Hallal, Turkish etc resaurants and shops, some expensive, some very reasonable, all open late; I had an excellent Lebanese meal; superb Baklava from the shop opposite the Hotel. The Masons Arms near by is a pub with a history as the gaol where prioners were kept before they went to Tyburn, just written history...no tours and good real English Ale.

Traveller's tip on saving a few bucks

A good basic place to stay on a budget so long as you’re not over fussy about appearances. Read the review for more details.

High Rate with VERY Small Room and Bath room

It is really one of the most small hotels I have ever been in before, Small stairs , No Lefts, small room and Very Small Bath room. Onlt the location which is near to Oxford Street for shopping. Nothong else.

it’s OK

The room was very small indeed and the hallways very tiny too, but the bed was alright and bedsheets were absolutely clean so were the towels. It is obviously not a luxuriuos hotel, however if you need a place in the city centre to sleep it is perfectly fine. Shower, toilet, kettle and coffee were there as well.

Disappointing

I expected more from a 2 star B&B. The ’continental breakfast’ consisted of a wooden fruit bowl filled with 2 warm yogurts, 2 stale croissants in a freezer bag, 2 packets of cereal, 2 ’packet lunch’ cartons of fruit juice and 2 cartons of long life milk which was given to us the night before and to be eaten on the bed! The room was dirty and tiny, the phone and TV broken and grimed with dirt. The ’en suite’ consisted of a toilet, sink and tiny shower in a wardrobe! Wouldn’t recommend to anyone! The towels were hand towel sized, and the shower mat consisted of a towel thrown on the floor

Traveller's tip on local attractions

Very central to Oxford Street and the American Embassy. Apart from that, avoid at all costs

No effort...

The staff were very helpful and nice!!! Well done...but sth that made me a bad impression was that the towels were smelly, all the way every time they changed them!!And at the end of our stay the toilet was smelly too, the real stuff anyway! Good try but no effort at the essential like hygiene!! Too much cheap refreshener.

Barely adequate

Principal problem is very narrow corridors and stairs, with doors squeezed in (presumably to accommodate fire regs) making them even narrower at critical points. TV reception (room 12) was appalling, despite it being on the top floor. Two channels only - BBC2 and, I tink, a snowy Channel 5. Soap? Yes. Towel? Yes. Shampoo? No.

Traveller's tip on saving a few bucks

The saving grace for this hotel is that it is cheap (for London) and has 24 hour staff (of 1 I think) to let you in late.
