Some good things but sticky carpet

Great location, great view from the bar at the top of the building. BUT, tha carpet felt sticky, looked like it hadn’t been cleaned ever, kind of gross. Also there was a disgusting smell in the room. The toilet broke, and the telephone didn’t work. The rate was good but just for the 3 first days, when I tried to rechek, the price was almost the double, of course I refused to pay that amount for that place. I have been in a lot of cheap 4 stars hotels in China, and have always been better than this one. Breakfast was good tough.

Small

Hotel was somewhat clean, nice location for a walk, but not for subway. Layout of room was ackward, and smell of the whole floor (outside room) wasnt fresh. I believe they should vacuum (steam vacuum) more often, and maybe change the carpeting. Wouldnt be my first choice in Shanghai. There are other hotels for the same money with much better shoices

Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Look for hotels near the subway like. That will make a huge difference during the day trips since subway in Shanghai is new, clean and bilingual.

Excellent Hotel

Made most welcome, all luggage including hand luggage taken care off, following our check in and room # alocation. Good views from the 23rd. floor. Easy access into centre of town

Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay

On discovering the Shanghai Metro system was limited, we used taxis exclusively @ very low rates. The Taxi booked the night before departure via the hotel desk to the Airport was double the rate suggested by the hotel, so ask the driver before the start of the journey.
