Wonderful reception, wonderful stay !
My wife and I arrived at the Berjaya at 7.45 a.m. and explained that we had taken a night flight thinking we might use the pool area until our suite was prepared. We were assured our arrival time was not a problem and were whisked off to our suite with the minimum of fuss, and we were upgraded too ! Our suite was the highest catagory with two ensuite bedrooms ! The staff at the Berjaya were absolutely fantastic at every turn, always smiling and so courteous. The pool area is just amazing, you have to see it to believe it and the Jojoba Spa is a must.... heaven on earth ! We are well travelled yet have never felt so relaxed and comfortable as on this vacation.
Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay
For shopaholics it has to be the Pavillion, there are great restaurants too. Do try to attend a philharmonic concert at the Petronas Towers, even if its not your thing with ticket prices as little as GBP5 its a great experience.

I was quite worried.....
When I read the reviews for the hotel when we were booking our trip, I chose the Berjeya Times Square because the reviews were so good. Two weeks before our trip, I looked at the reviews again and they were all fairly negative. My husband said we should just go and see for ourselves and I have to say we were not disappointed! Our room was lovely, clean and tidy. The air conditioning worked perfectly, as did the shower and toilet. We had a fantastic view, overlooking both the Petronas and KL Towers. The staff could not have been more helpful, in fact my only complaint would be the charge for making a call from the hotel phone to my parents in Thailand - very expensive! A thoroughly enjoyable stay, look out for the hotel taxi service, much cheaper to get one from the street outside.

Get up early and enjoy the city before it gets too hot. We did a lot of walking and managed to see so much. Use the monorail to get around - air conditioned and only busy at rush hour, but still cheaper than taxis.

Great location but rooms could use improvement.
The hotel is located right next to a huge shopping center, which makes it very convenient for travelers who dont know their way around Kuala Lumpur. The rooms have an awkward design, with very narrow walkways in abundance. The wardrobe for instance, could not even be opened halfway because the bed was in the way. The room had a faint scent which wasnt too invasive but was definitely noticeable. We also had issues when the air conditioner would be excessively loud for 10-15 minutes at a time (its inside a locked closet around 5 feet away from the bed). That said, at the price it was a solid value, though I wouldnt necessarily recommend it to everyone.
