Well situated but quiet hotel
This was our second stay at the Cervantes, and it continues to offer good value. Although it does not have a bar, the area is surrounded by lively tapas bars, several within a five minute stroll. Staff are helpful, but check-in is slow as although the staff use a computer to check that you have a reservation, they then revert to a paper based system, and do not proceed until they have located a hard copy of the reservation, which seems to take far too long.

Nice Gardens and lobby. Rooms could be better.
The common areas of the hotel are nice, with beautiful furniture and a remarkable garden in the back. The rooms are small, but this is usual in European accomodations, the bed is not very comfortable and the TV set was very 80s. The main attractions of Seville are not very close but if you are a walker you will find very fun to get there from here, a lot of interesting buildings, shops and cafeterias on the way.
Make sure that you have a map to get to the Hotel, Seville downtown is a little laberynth and you might find frustrating to get to the Hotel if you dont have the proper instructions, it was a nightmare for us.

great place to stay
This is a great little hotel in a quiet back street, but only ten minutes walk from the centre. Tastefully decorated, light and airy, extremely helpful staff who spoke English. Had dinner there the first night which was delicious. There were some fab tapas bars nearby so we used those as they were less expensive than in the main part of town. The city felt very safe and we had a brilliant time. Highly recommend Seville....sophisticated but unassuming.
