Empty After Ten, Strange Breakfast, Nice Staff and Room
This is a nice hotel with friendly helpful staff. It is priced higher than most Courtyard By Marriots and I am not sure why. There is a bar downstairs that closes too early--at 11:00 p.m. This makes no sense---it is useful for business purposes to have a bar in the hotel but it is most useful between 11 and 1 a.m. Also, most Courtyards have a complimentary breakfast. This did not, or if it did this was not clear. Breakfast was in an attached restaurant called Napa. I paid about $20 for breakfast involving a strange nouvelle egg sandwich. Meanwhile, it looked like other customers were helping themselves to juice, croissants etc that may have represented the complimentary Courtyard breakfast, but there were no signs or explanations. The complimentary breakfast is a major selling point for Courtyards, but here it was not available and/or we were encouraged to buy a rather expensive (and not so good) breakfast in an attached restaurant.
